1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how KangaBlue (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information collected through the website at www.kangablue.au (the “Site”).

KangaBlue’s flagship product, Tateru Pro, is a separate desktop application with its own Privacy Policy. If you use Tateru Pro, please refer to the policy published at tateru.app/privacy for details on how that product handles data.

2. Information We Collect from Site Visitors

2.1 Contact Form

If you submit the contact form on the Site, you provide your name, email address, and message. This information is delivered to us through Formspree so we can read and respond to your message. We use this information only to reply to you.

2.2 Chat Widget

The Site offers an AI chat widget. Messages you send through the widget are forwarded to OpenAI to generate a response. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models. We do not persistently store chat conversations on our servers.

2.3 Hosting Logs

The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel logs standard request metadata (such as IP address, user agent, and request path) for operational and security purposes.

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not set tracking cookies or advertising cookies on the Site.
  • We do not use third-party analytics or marketing tracking pixels.
  • We do not collect precise location data.
  • We do not sell or share personal information with data brokers.

3. How We Use Information

Information you submit through the Site is used exclusively to:

  • Reply to your enquiry or request
  • Generate a response in the chat widget
  • Maintain the security and availability of the Site

We do not use Site-visitor data for advertising, profiling, or model training.

Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and meet reasonable record-keeping requirements. Chat-widget messages are not persistently stored by us beyond the in-memory exchange used to generate a response.

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the Site, including HTTPS for all traffic and standard hosting-platform protections. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Your Rights

You can:

  • Ask us what personal information (if any) we hold about you
  • Ask us to delete personal information you have submitted via the contact form
  • Choose not to use the contact form or chat widget

The Site is operated from Australia. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of your information to Australia and to the countries where our service providers operate.

10. Tateru Pro

Tateru Pro is a desktop application with materially different data handling (notably: it uses your own LLM API keys, stored in your operating system’s keychain, and does not proxy your prompts through KangaBlue). For details, see the Tateru Pro Privacy Policy at tateru.app/privacy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
