1. Introduction
KangaBlue (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates mobile applications including FixerUppera, StyleMySpace, NovaSuperAgent, and other applications we may publish in the future (collectively, the “Apps”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Apps.
By using any of our Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Apps.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Photos and Images
Some of our Apps allow you to take photos or upload images from your device. These images are used solely to provide the App’s core functionality (e.g., furniture analysis, room design, or visual AI processing). Images are:
- Sent to third-party AI services for real-time processing (see Section 4)
- Not stored on our servers after processing is complete
- Not shared with other users or third parties for marketing
2.2 Profile Information
Some Apps may collect optional profile information such as your name, email address, and preferences during onboarding. This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly stated.
2.3 Locally Stored Data
Our Apps store data locally on your device using local storage or secure storage mechanisms. This may include:
- Saved plans, designs, notes, or other user-created content
- Onboarding preferences and profile data
- Usage counters and feature state
- API keys you provide for cloud AI services
This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly initiate sharing or syncing.
2.4 Subscription and Payment Data
If you subscribe to a paid plan within any of our Apps, your payment is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. Subscription status may be managed through third-party services such as RevenueCat.
2.5 Email and Connected Accounts
Some Apps (such as NovaSuperAgent) may offer email integration via Microsoft Outlook or Google Gmail. When you connect an email account:
- We access only the data necessary for the App’s functionality (e.g., reading email subject lines and bodies)
- Email credentials are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage
- We do not store your emails on our servers beyond what is needed for real-time processing
- You can disconnect your account at any time through the App’s settings
2.6 Device Authentication
Some Apps use anonymous device identifiers for authentication. These identifiers are randomly generated and cannot be used to personally identify you. They are used solely to link your device to backend services such as proactive notifications or email integration.
2.7 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise location data
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs for marketing
- We do not sell or share personal information with data brokers
3. How We Use Your Information
Information you provide is used exclusively to:
- Provide the core functionality of our Apps
- Process AI requests (image analysis, text generation, etc.)
- Deliver proactive notifications and reminders (where applicable)
- Manage subscription status and entitlements
- Improve our Apps based on anonymous, aggregated feedback
We do not use your data for training AI models, advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing our Apps’ core functionality.
4. Third-Party Services
Our Apps rely on third-party services for AI processing and infrastructure. Data shared with these services is limited to what is necessary for functionality:
4.1 OpenAI
Used for AI analysis, text generation, and image understanding. Data is processed according to OpenAI’s Privacy Policy. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models.
4.2 Anthropic
Used for AI chat, analysis, and tool execution. Data is processed according to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
4.3 Alibaba Cloud (DashScope)
Used for AI image editing and generation. Data is processed according to Alibaba Cloud’s Privacy Policy.
4.4 Google Play
Handles payment processing for in-app subscriptions. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
4.5 Microsoft
Used for Outlook email integration via Microsoft Graph API. See Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
4.6 Hosting Infrastructure
Our backend services are hosted on Vercel and Railway. API requests pass through their infrastructure. See their respective privacy policies for details.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not maintain persistent databases of user-generated content. Photos and text sent for AI processing are not stored after the API response is returned. Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time through each App’s settings. Subscription cancellation must be done through Google Play.
6. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All API communications use HTTPS encryption
- Sensitive credentials are stored using platform-native secure storage
- Photos are transmitted securely and not stored server-side
- Anonymous device authentication minimises personal data exposure
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Your Rights
Since we minimise data collection and do not maintain user accounts on our servers, there is typically no personal data for us to access, modify, or delete. You can:
- Clear locally stored data through each App’s settings or your device settings
- Uninstall any App at any time to remove all local data
- Disconnect connected accounts (email, calendar) through App settings
- Request information about any data we may hold by contacting us
9. International Users
Our Apps are available globally. By using our Apps, you consent to the transfer of your information to Australia and other countries where our service providers operate. We comply with applicable data protection laws and take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our Apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
